Rachel Sarah Miller, a resident of Colt, departed this life, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family, she was 95 years old. She was born on June 15, 1929, the daughter of Athie Daniel and Bessie Jane King Reyer. She married Mr. William “Dub” Miller on December 20, 1947.
She was a homemaker and member of the Pine Tree Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School and sang with the church group. Rachel enjoyed cooking and was known for her donuts and popcorn balls, she also loved raising African violets and tending to the hummingbirds. She was a fierce prayer warrior, always willing to lend a helping hand and give words of encouragement to others. The greatest joy in her life was her family, whom she loved beyond words.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents: Athie and Bessie Reyer, husband of sixty-five years: William Miller, two brothers: Noble Reyer, Odie Reyer, seven sisters: Hazel Cox, Sally Pipkins, Sadie Smith, Carolyn Reyer, Rebecca Dye, Mildred Collins, Neva Flowers, grandchildren: Kevin Miller and Anissa Miller.
Survivors include two sons: Ronald Miller and wife Linda of Colt, Michael Miller and wife Shelia of Wynne, one brother: Ralph Reyer of Palestine, three grandchildren: Karen Primavera and husband Jay of Coppell, Texas, Scott Miller and wife Lisa of Jonesboro, Kristi Dewitt of Charlotte, Arkansas, five great-grandchildren: Sage, Kaylee, Libby, Emily, Hensly, three great-great grandchildren: Olivia, Barrett, Graysen and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held, Monday, from 10:00 until service time at 11:00 a.m. at the Pine Tree Baptist Church, with burial following in Barnishaw Cemetery.
