Richard “Ricky” Lee Bailey, 71, a resident of Earle, departed this life, Sunday, June 8, 2025, in Jonesboro after his battle with cancer. He was born, January 8, 1954, the son of Robert Luther Bailey, Jr. and Mildred Joyce Bozarth Bailey.
Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Parkin High School, he joined the US Air Force in 1974, serving as a Patrol Officer until 1978. After returning home he earned his Agriculture Degree from ASU before going to work as an officer with the Cross County Sheriff Department and then worked at the Wynne Post Office as a mail carrier and then as a custodian. Ricky also worked as a DJ at the Little Village in the 90’s. In his spare time Ricky enjoyed working on old tractors and other vehicles, Joking and kidding around with his family and friends, he loved to talk to anyone that would listen, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert, Jr and Mildred Bailey, his twin brother: Robert Bailey, III, and one sister: Brenda Thomas.
Survivors include: two daughters: Theresa Crosthwait of Jonesboro, Jennifer Eaton and her husband Greg of Caldwell, one son: Levi Bailey and his wife Amie of Marion, one sister: Deborah Bailey and Shelby Morris of Parkin, eight grandchildren: Ian Young, Garrett Partain, Abigail Carrol, Adriana Bailey, Trysten Bailey, Skyler Barnes, Chase Crosthwait, Trent Eaton and four great-grandchildren, his constant companion: Mike (his dog) and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held, Tuesday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye with Military Honors.
