Roger Dale Epps, Sr.

Roger Epps, Sr., 68, of Widner, departed this life, Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home.  He was born, October 30, 1952, in Parkin the son of Glen and Mary Baldwin Epps.  He married Miss Elizabeth McCready Simonton on May 18, 2002.

Roger attended Parkin High School before going to work as an OTR Driver for Karp’s Food Service for many years retiring in 2004. Roger always loved having a good time and was the life of the party. He enjoyed singing karaoke, bowling fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Glen, Jr, Bill, Jerry and Jesse, four sisters; Pat Parish, Caroling Epps, Anita Walker, and Helen Goodman.

Mr. Epps is survived by his wife of nineteen years; “Beth” Simonton-Epps of the home, three sons; Roger Epps, Jr. and wife Traci, of Colt, John Uber and wife Britten of Florida, Daniel Billings of St. Pete, Florida, two daughters; Ginger Deann Epps of Florida and Dana Banning and husband Jamie of St. Pete, Florida, one brother; Jeff Epps of Wynne, five sisters; Ruby Landers, Maire Murry, Betty Slogan, Myra Partain and Jackie Hill, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Roger’s wishes were to have a private celebration of his life with family.
