Roy Lee Watson, 55, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born, November 22, 1969, in Forrest City the son of McKinley and Iomea Lofton Watson. He married Miss Tanya Lynn Goatcher on October 10, 2005.
He drove a truck for the Forrest City Grocery for many years, starting with helping his father. He enjoyed fishing, hunting horses, snakes, playing video games, and trash talking. Roy also enjoyed collecting cowboy hats and baseball caps, he was a big “teddy bear” who loved his kids and grandkids.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents: McKinley and Iomea Watson, one sister: Houston Cobb, two grandchildren: Lucien “King” James and Faith Watson.
Survivors include: his wife of twenty years: Tanya Watson of Wynne, six sons: Roy Watson, Jr of Wynne, Quinton Watson of Little Rock, Ezekiel Watson of Little Rock, Dontrell Watson of Madison, Maureese McClain of Wynne and McKinley Watson of Forrest City, two daughters Brittney Goatcher, Destiny Goatcher both of Wynne, three brothers: Scott Whiteside, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Ezekiel Lofton, Sr. of St. Louis, McKinley Watson, Jr. of Little Rock, two sisters: Louise Ross of Jonesboro, Lucille Whiteside of Forrest City, and eighteen grandchildren.
The family will hold a memorial service for Roy at a later date to be announced.
