SERVICE UPDATE
Samuel John Daqqaq, 32, a resident of Cherry Valley, died a hero trying to save his step-father from a house fire, Friday, February 27, 2026. He was born, January 18, 1994, in Forrest City, the son of Connie Renee Cowgill Daqqaq Boger.
Samuel was and artist and impressionist and could do many different country accents, his favorite was Irish and Scottish, he loved to make others laugh. Sam was a good cook, enjoyed fishing, camping and telling jokes. He was an amazing person and loved his family. He was a real hero who died doing a selfless act. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his step-father: Michael Boger.
Survivors include his mother: Connie Boger of Cherry Valley, two sisters: Holla and Sarah.
A memorial service will be held for Samuel and Mike, Thursday evening, March 26th at 6:00 p.m. at Woodard Funeral Home chapel.
