Scott Clayton Allen

 Scott Clayton Allen, a lifelong resident of Wynne, Arkansas, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at the age of 62. He was born August 10, 1957 in Wynne, Arkansas to Tommy Clayton and Gwen Hooper Allen.

Scott’s biological father: William Thomas Clayton passed away when he was a baby so when his mother married Ira Allen, Ira soon adopted Scott and raised him as his own. Scott was a 1975 graduate of Wynne High School. Scott became an electrician & was trained by Ed Mangum. After receiving his certification, he started his own business. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, showing off what a great cook he was. Scott also had a love for playing the guitar, golfing, fishing, and hunting. He never met a stranger and was kind to everyone. Scott's most favorite thing in the world was being "Papa 2" to his grandchildren.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his father: Ira Allen, birth father: William Clayton, brother: David Allen, grandparents: Godfrey and Mary Lynn Hooper, Tom and Myrtle Allen, Grover and Gladys Clayton.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 27 years: Laura Stinson Allen of Wynne, Arkansas, mother: Gwen Allen of Wynne, Arkansas, son: Nathan Allen of Jonesboro, Arkansas, daughters: Jessica Shepherd Goins and husband Adam of Wynne, Arkansas, Arianne Sullemani and husband Soni of Florence, Italy, brother: Jerry Allen of Wynne, Arkansas, 2 ¼ grandchildren: Chloe Lucy, Nicholas Goins, and Aurora Goins will arrive soon.

Memorial services will be held, Monday, December 30, 2019 at the McElroy Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m., with visitation and fellowship following.
