Shirley Sue Brown, a resident of Wynne, passed away Friday, October 7th at the age of 75. She was born, on November 30, 1946, in Parkin, Arkansas, the daughter of Lawrence and Fannie Sue “Meadows” Lindley.
Shirley was a giving person, and would help others before taking care of herself. She enjoyed gambling, Facebook, and loved the holidays with family. Christmas was her favorite time to spoil her grands and great grands. They never wanted for anything. She worked for 20 plus years at Mitchell’s Mobile Homes where she loved meeting new people and helping them find and purchase their new home. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Harold Leroy Brown, one son: Brian ”Scooter” Hogland and one sister: Dianne Allen.
Ms. Brown is survived by three daughters: Donna Pulley of Wynne, Susie Pierce of Wynne, Lisa Bradford of Vanndale, step daughter: Julie Brown of Forrest City, sister-in-law: Donna Carter, 9 grandchildren; Jonathan (Robbi), T.J., Todd, Tyler (Brooke), Cody (Whitney), LeAmber (Drew), Ashley, Justice, Jordan and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Shirley will Monday evening, October 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Vanndale Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. at Vanndale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne.
