Tommy Hall, Jr. Obituary

    Tommy Lee Hall, Jr.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2020, Tommy Lee Hall Jr., cherished husband and father, left this Earth to be in his eternal home with the Lord at the age of 76. Tommy was born in Parkin, Arkansas on January 17th, 1944 to Rose and Tommy Hall Sr. Tommy spent most of his life fixing things. Whether it be tires, cars, farm equipment, or the random tinkering project, his life’s work was helping keep others going. He married Carolyn Marie Hall on September 8th, 1964 and they lived 56 wonderful years together. Together they raised five children, Tommy Joe Hall of McCrory, Teresa Gail Hall of Trumann, Terry Wayne Hall of McCrory, Tony Fay Hall of Jonesboro, and Tarah Leighann Hedden of McCrory.

Tommy was a faithful servant of the Lord. He spent every day that he was able attending services at Morton Baptist Church where he was appointed Deacon. He enjoyed visiting with each and every member of the church, and loved them like his own family. When unable to attend services, he enjoyed listening to them on Facebook Live at home with family. He particularly loved ministering at Woodruff County Health Center and visiting all of the residents there. Tommy loved to garden and loved to give everyone he met something he grew or seeds to plant on their own. He would never be caught without a Gatorade bottle full of his favorite caffeine milkshake, or a pocket full of BC powders and hard candy. He most enjoyed tinkering in his shop with his beloved dog, Malachi, who he rescued as a puppy. Tommy enjoyed many things, but none more than aggravating his wife and grandchildren in an attempt to make them smile. He never met a stranger, and would help anyone who would let him.

Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lee Hall Sr., his mother, Rose E. Hall. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, their children Tommy Joe Hall, Teresa Hall, Terry Hall, Tony Hall, and Tarah Hedden, his brother Joe G. Hall, his sister Marilyn Bell, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog Malachi.

Visitation will be held at Morton Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 10th at 10:00 o’clock. The funeral service will begin at 11:30. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McCrory Backpack Program.
