Victor Salvador Gonzales, Sr. of Forrest City, AR, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, in Jonesboro, AR, at the age of 68. He was born in New Orleans, LA on June 25, 1952, to Charles Salvador Gonzales and Leona Mae Evans.
Victor was always happy and upbeat, he loved telling stories, playing the guitar, and singing. He had a special song for each of his children. He had children but loved his dogs “Tank” who was his favorite “son” and his big dog, Buddy. Victor was definitely a child of God, he loved to preach, share the word of God with everyone. He was always happy and maintained a positive attitude throughout his long battle with cancer saying that “he had cancer, but it didn’t have him.” He was a very reassuring father when his children needed him, and would help others when he could. His family is thankful that Victor was able to spend quality time with all of them for the last year enjoying a cruise and BBQ at Village Creek.
Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Chucky Gonzales.
Victor is survived by his wife: Joanna (Rhodora Tahum) Gonzales of the home, constant companion: Tank his dog, son: Victor Gonzales, Jr. and wife Tammy of Lacombe, LA, daughter: Lisann Gonzales and wife Ashley of Picayune, MS, and 3 grandchildren: Christopher, Cassidy, and Cody Gonzales.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Harvest Land Church in Moro, AR. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. There will be no burial for Mr. Gonzales.
