Mrs. Virginia Darlene Wilson, a resident of Colt, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, December 25, 2021, at her home with her family surrounding her with love. She was born, March 27, 1944, in Hickory Ridge, the daughter of Philip Alexander and Clister Irene Combs Henson.
Ms. Virginia was a 1962 graduate of Newport High School and married Mr. James Oscar Wilson on October 16, 1963.
She worked as a book keeper for the Weiner Lumber company for a number of years before moving to the Wynne area. Here she worked for Levi and then Crestpark Nursing home for 15 years before retiring from Cool Gas. She was a member of the Wynne Church of Christ and a good Christian lady, who always put family first. Virginia was a devoted, precious wife, mother and grandmother who liked to dance, sew, quilt and plant flowers. She was a social butterfly and the rock of the family. Her favorite pastime was being with her family especially her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Philip and Clister Henson, one sister: Greta Gale Gatewood.
Virginia is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years: James Wilson of the home, one son: James Allen Wilson of Wynne, two daughters: Jamie Wilson of Watertown, Wisconsin, Christie Jetton and husband Tim of Paragould, one brother: Douglas Henson of Newport, one sister: Sue Carolyn Jensen of Harrisburg, four grandchildren: Samantha Price, Steven Vericker, Darien Fuchs and Emily Furrow, and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
